What Hong Kong is actually like
Hong Kong works well as a short trip — the Peak Tram and Victoria Harbour skyline on one side, Lantau Island's Big Buddha and cable car on the other, and dim sum worth building a whole afternoon around in between. It's also an easy add-on to a longer Southeast Asia itinerary given the flight connections.
