What Turkey is actually like
Turkey usually means Istanbul and Cappadocia, and both earn the hype — Istanbul for a city that genuinely straddles Europe and Asia, Cappadocia for the hot-air balloons over the valleys at sunrise. Add a couple of nights on the Aegean or Turquoise coast if the itinerary allows, since it's a completely different pace from the two headline stops.
